Comme tous les adolescents, il se cherche et cherche également le grand amour, qu'il pourrait bien avoir trouvé en la personne de la ravissante Gwen Stacy. Alors qu'il enquête sur la disparition de ses parents, il trouve une mallette qui le guide sur la piste du docteur Curt Connors, ancien associé de son père.
